Saudi Arabia Warns Christians Not To Eat In Public Because Of Ramadan!

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi authorities warned non-Muslim expatriates on Friday, the first day of Ramadan, not to eat, drink, or smoke in public until the end of the Muslim holy month’s sunrise-to-sunset fast — or face expulsion.
The Interior Ministry of the oil-rich kingdom called on expatriates to “show consideration for feelings of Muslims” and “preserve the sacred Islamic rituals.” Otherwise, a ministry statement said, Saudi authorities will cancel violators’ work contracts and expel them.
Saudi Arabia’s population of 27 million includes some 8 million expatriates, including Asians, Arabs, and Westerners, according to government figures. The ultraconservative Sunni kingdom is the home of Islam’s holiest sites. The warning — which is issued at the beginning of Ramadan every year — serve as a reminder that the Western-allied monarchy must answer to a strict religious establishment that holds de facto veto power over many of its policies.
With challenges to the established order growing bolder from a population nearly half of which is under 30, Saudi Arabia has recently made some moves to show moderation. It is sending female athletes to the Olympics for the first time this year. King Abdullah has promised to allow women to run and vote in municipal elections in 2015. He also has tried to rein in the country’s feared morality police.
But Saudi rights advocate Waleed Aboul Khair believes that while such moves give impression that the grip of hardliners has eased, “when you look around, nothing has changed and suppression has not changed.” He is facing trial for “tarnishing the kingdom’s reputation,” mostly by his political activism for women’s rights and other issues.Source : AFP

Father Bust for S*ex With Son

A 10-YEAR-OLD boy from the West Rand has been moved to a place of safety after allegedly having been sodomised by his father.

The 32-year-old father, a Zimbabwean who lives in Rietvallei near Kagiso, made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
He was arrested last Thursday after a neighbour alerted police.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya confirmed the child is receiving medical treatment.
“The boy was staying with his father because his mother lives in Tembisa,” Sibiya said. “The neighbour told the police what had allegedly happened to the boy after his own son, who is friends with the victim, told him that his friend was not feeling well.
“He spoke to the boy and realised the seriousness of the situation. He was obviously very concerned and alerted police.”
According to Sibiya the child was scared because his father had allegedly threatened to kill him if he ever told anyone about what had happened to him.
Popular television actor Patrick Shai – who has admitted that he physically abused his wife – described the incident as “disturbing”.
“This comes after the alleged rape of a very old woman in KwaZulu-Natal. The country is facing an enemy far bigger than apartheid. At least then we knew who the enemy was. Now people simply have no morals,” said Shai.
Shai recently spoke out against escalating rape in the country at a prayer service for a Soweto girl who was allegedly gang-raped by seven men.

Nyasha: Sweet At Sixteen, Elegant At Heart

What does it take to be a successful career person at a very young stage in life?
Young Zimbabwean model Nyasha Matonhodze surely has a clue.
Matonhodze is only sixteen (born on July 31, 1995) but she is already making waves in a trade made only for the brave and spirited at heart. She is being touted as the 'next big thing' to take on the world of modeling.
This year, in a list of Africa's top 20 models put together by Forbes Africa, she came first beating off stiff competition from other modeling big shots like Kinee Diouf, Ataui Deng, Ajak Deng, Grace Bol, Nana Keita, Marika Le Roux, Candice Swanepoel and Aminata Niara.
To qualify for the top 20, a model had to be born in Africa, and must have done a lot of work during winter/Fall 2011 and Summer Spring 2012. This included advertising campaigns, magazine covers, fashion shows and editorials.
Making Forbes top 20 list was part of a regular slideshow of successes that she continues to embrace everyday. It is surprising how she does it but to think that at her age she's already shot a high-level advertising campaign directed by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel and styled by Karl Templer for fashion mogul Louis Vuitton, makes her story one of a kind.
'I thought 'Lord you are lucky!' It didn't actually hit me until I was in a Rolls Royce sitting eye-to-eye with Miesel,' she told the UK's Daily Telegraph of the perks that came with shooting for Vuitton.
The 5'11/180 model was last year revealed as one of the faces of luxury for the French fashion label who found in Matonhodze a worthy face for their autumn/winter campaign. Her poise and maturity belies her 16 years of age, making her one of modeling's biggest assets.
Plus, it is her statuesque elegance and sweet-sixteen warm personality that's made her the favourite of most fashion houses.
'I'm getting the chance to work with people who are legends to me. People that I never thought I'd work with. Not only designers, not only stylists, photographers as well and models. What I hope for is a long lasting career. That is what I want and that is what I hope to get, to be seen on the runway at 24 or 30,' she said in one of her interviews.
The Louis Vuitton shoot followed several others she'd already done for big brands like TopShop, Harper's Bazaar, Teen Vogue and V magazine.
Just like many of her peers, Matonhodze is also overwhelmed by how well she is able to model.
'I find it difficult to see myself and think that I'm a model. I feel blessed and honoured to keep getting that next step in my career. I've met amazing people that keep supporting me and pushing me further and further. It's like a dream, no matter how good I do; it's still so surreal for me,' she tells the New York Magazine.
Consistently, Matonhodze has told tales of how her discovery into the world of modeling, 'wasn't really a discovery'.
Her story makes for interesting narration. In 2009, in a school uniform, she walked into the offices of Elite Modeling agency in the United Kingdom and became a finalist in a modeling contest the agency was running at the time, signed a contract, and days later, had her debut at the Spring Louis Gray show in London.
She's also walked for names like Loewe, Jonathan Saunders, Emanuel Ungaro, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Burberry, MaxMara, DKNY, Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors among a tall, enviable list.
'My discovery wasn't a discovery. Since I was 12, I was tall and thin so I would always get the whole 'you should be a model,' but I never really developed a serious interest about it until America's Next Top Model'.
Nyasha auditioned and competed in Cycle 10 of the very popular modeling reality television contest, and has since that time, gradually built her way up to the top.
'Seriously, that's when it all changed for me. Everything I wanted was pretty much based off that show'.
It definitely took her a lot of hard work and dedication to get to the top after the effort by her parents, whom she had joined in the United Kingdom at the age of eight from Harare, Zimbabwe, where she was born and raised by her grandmother.
'...My mother, she was a single mother at 18 who moved to London without knowing anyone. She's always worked hard and seeing her overcome so much in life has been an inspiration for me. She's so successful now, and I want to be like her'.
'I do still have memories of Zimbabwe - falling asleep in the sand, bathing outside, the warmth of the sun, and just the way of living'.
'Moving to England, I saw their perspective on Africa and what they think it's like, and it's completely the opposite....
A great admirer of British Stylist Katie Grand and friends with Sudanese model Ajak, Matonhdze loves photography and enjoys working with Jason Kibbler and Daniel Jackson.

Already she's shot over 90 campaigns, 80 of which were shot in the last year. Matonhodze has certainly got her grind on, and wouldn't be long that she will make it into a list of the world's top models. Considering what she's achieved so far, that shouldn't be hard to achieve.
Matonhodze is also signed to Marilyn Agency in New York. For a young model to be represented by two different agencies in two different territories, is certainly a big deal and something most models, some older than her, will yearn for.
For years to come, Nyasha will be remembered as that young Zimbwabean lady who found in modeling, a life-changing career and went for it. Whether or not she will continue to remain relevant and be respected for what she does years from now is a guess that can always wait, as she continues to walk the fat budget runways of London, Milan, New York and Paris.
The cheers will always be loud when you make it out of very ordinary circumstances but allowing the fame to get to you can always be suicidal. Nyasha is fully aware of all that, and isn't prepared to have a taste of that sweet-sour experience.
'If you're not strong-minded, modeling can knock your confidence quite harshly. Every day you're judged on your look, and more so today you're judged on your personality. With that said, a lot of us are 15 or 16-years-old, so some girls could really take the criticism personally. What we have to understand is that there's not something wrong with us per se, we just aren't a right fit with the client,' she tells New York Magazine.
'You never know what's next. One minute you're good and the next is a bit of a ... I'm just making the most of the time that I've got,' she said in one of her interviews.

“Our Honeymoon Was Hell: My Husband Rapés Me Violently” – wife speaks

The honeymoon period ended the day after we were married, six months from when we first met.
After a little argument, Dehinde grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up against the wall. He grabbed my hands and bent them backward, breaking one of my fingers. I was in shock. I was stunned. I was in serious pains…
A few hours after the incident, He broke into tears and told me how sorry he was. I loved him so much, so I believed him when he said it wouldn’t happen again. But life became hell after that. For the next two months the abuse was nonstop. He kept me in a constant state of terror. I’m not a drinker, but he’d toss a bottle of beer in my face and say “drink”. He’d punch me in the stomach or kick me in the thigh if I didn’t. I started walking on tiptoes around him, fearful of everything I’d say and do. But it didn’t matter; the abuse continued.
He dislocated my shoulder several times. He’d lift me up by the ankles and bang my head against the floor in the living room. A part of me wanted to leave, but another part of me hesitated. Somehow I felt I was partially responsible for the abuse. If I hadn’t made a particular comment or if I had just sipped the alcohol everything would have been OK. And for the first few months he was apologetic after the beatings. He’d say he felt very bad and that he didn’t mean to hit me so hard. He’d actually cry sometimes and show such remorse that I’d forget my own pain.
He’d become romantic and sweet, and I’d fall in love with him all over again. I started to isolate myself from friends and family. I didn’t want them to know about the violence. I put on a happy face with my two kids and tried to act like things were fine. They knew about the violence but didn’t know the severity. When my mom wanted to see me, I’d lie, saying I was busy. I didn’t want her to see my bruises. I was embarrassed.
Sadly, the abuse worsened. The rapés began about two months after we were married. I was dressing for work when he came out of the shower and asked me where I was going. He didn’t wait for my answer. He threw me on the bed, sat on my stomach, pinned my arms up beside my head and ripped off my clothes. “If you want séx, wait until I get home tonight,” I said. “You’ll do it when I want, and how I want,” was his response. It got worse after that. He would tie me up and put foreign objects such as necks of beer bottles into my vagina.
Five months into the marriage I endured beating after beating. While most of the assaults were done when my children weren’t home, I was worried that they might step in and try to protect me. If they did, they might get beaten, too. I began plotting our escape, but it was difficult. He had begun making threatening comments: “You can never get far enough away from me. I will always find you. If I can’t have you, no one will.”
I felt trapped. How I left? He had disappeared for three days. I didn’t know where he was. I thought he had been in an accident. I called his phone; he would answer but not say anything. He arrived home on the third night at about 1a.m. and immediately started screaming at me that he didn’t appreciate me trying to track him down.We were in the sitting room and he grabbed the land-phone receiver and began to beat me in the face with it. His eyes were red and flashing like I’d never seen before. I ran to the bedroom, and he was right behind me. He picked me up over his head and threw me across the room twice. I broke my tailbone in the second fall. My 6-year-old daughter woke up. She must have heard something and came to see what was happening. She just stood there, stunned.
He looked at her and got scared for some reason. He went into the bedroom and pack his things. I found my phone, fighting the pain from the broken bone, limped to the living room, I then called my father who took me away from the house.
Since then I have not set my eyes on Dehinde. Please what should I do about this marriage?

Rihanna’s Friends Worry She’s ‘Overdoing’ It With Constant Drinking

Rihanna has reportedly worried friends with her drinking habits and they fear she is “overdoing” it.
The 24-year-old singer has been drinking hard for almost a year and her friends even feared she would have to go to rehab to tame her partying lifestyle. While Rihanna has taken more than a month off work to relax in Cannes and her hometown of Barbados, friends say she hasn’t been able to put the drink down and they fear she is burning herself out again.
“She cannot put a drink down. Even when she’s in the sea on a surfboard, she’s got a beer,” a source close to the singer told theDaily Star.
“You really don’t see her go without a drink on any day of the week, ever. There was a point when all her mates thought she was within hours of going into rehab.”
In addition to her partying lifestyle, those close to her fear her intense workload isn’t helping matters.
“She never has a break between albums. Her singles come out at such a fast pace. She is always filming a video or doing a new photoshoot. She is so hardworking.”
Despite the supposed calls for concern, Rihanna’s friend, designer Henry Holland, says: “She is totally in control.”
