Charlyboy Foundation unveils Zonal Essay Competition ahead of 63rd birthday

Extending its humanitarian projects to secondary schools, the Charlyboy foundation will be unveiling its first zonal essay competition at the artist’s Punk Palace, Gwarinpa, Abuja on June 18, 2013.
The Foundation has continued to empower young and aspiring Nigerians at different levels. It is no longer news that the Foundation is currently responsible for the training of many undergraduates across different Universities in the country. This, according to the coordinator of the CB Foundation, Princess Ezeokoli, was born out of the passion and desire of the Charlyboy brand to keep smiles on the faces of depressed Nigerians who have continued to struggle out of the pervasive poverty that now characterize the Nigerian system.
Our correspondent has gathered that over 20 secondary schools in the FCT will converge at the Charlyboy Boulevard, Gwarinpa to receive various awards for the competition. Sources have revealed that the foundation will be empowering three best students who are able to do justice to the topic earlier sent to the participating schools.
According to Joy Egbunu, CBF event resource person, the event shall introduce Charlyboy’s 63rd birthday, which holds on 19 June. According to Joy, the empowerment scheme almost coincides with the brands birthday, an indication that the best way to mark someone’s birthday is to affect a life. Speaking on the significance of the essay topic, Chizoba Okpara, CBF Progamme Officer said, the topic, “Let no one kill your dream” is significant to the lives of these young ones who may have started battling with career choice already. Charlyboy’s continuous zeal of holding onto his dream is worthy of emulation, hence the topic. ‘
The event is being supported by AIT, Indomie, 7up, Mr. Biggs, Alliance for Credible Elections, Imperialinc Concepts Ltd, Ropopo water, Drumstix, Halogen and DJ Emmy.

Still basking in the euphoria of the huge buzz and success recorded by her first self-produced movie“Arewa Onijogbon”, pretty video vixen turned actress is set to hit the location for her second movie with the working title “Corper Jide”.

The fast rising actress popularly called Sotayo in the Nigerian entertainment circle is leaving no stone un-turn to make sure the success of this new film surpasses that of “Arewa Onijogbon”. Elated Sotayoexplained, “I never expected Arewa Onijogbon to go this far because I was only experimenting with the project. The reception by fans and movie watchers was enormous and the movie had rave reviews both from the media and from people that watched it”, she stated.
